This bento box contains ayu (sweetfish) that have been grilled over charcoal to a fragrant crisp. The ayu are fed a diet of natural young ayu from Lake Biwa, mixed with sudachi citrus and honey, resulting in tender flesh and a sweet, fatty flavor.In addition to sweetfish, this dish is packed with flavors unique to the Lake Biwa region, including Biwa trout, a species endemic to Lake Biwa, and flavorful Omi beef simmered in soy sauce.This bento box is packed with colorful and wholesome side dishes, offering a perfectly balanced and nutritious meal.
